    I don’t understand this:
“This class is a prerequisite for other Zentangle classes from any CZT (Certified Zentangle Teacher)”
    What does this mean?

Hi Justin – CZTs have received training from the official Zentangle folk (see zentangle.com). We all learn the same principles and teach them in our beginner classes. So once you’ve taken a beginner or basics class from any CZT, you’ll be able to follow classes from any other CZT – everyone has the same information. Make sense?

Thank you for answering so quickly. I have never heard before of such a class being a prerequisite for other Zentangle classes. So, if I understand correctly this means you can’t take a class from any other CZT if you haven’t followed the basic class first?

Justin, I would check with the teacher before signing up. It’s not like you have to have a certificate to say you’ve taken the class or anything. But in my experience, when someone hasn’t done the beginner class, they are at a disadvantage as everyone else has the same background and vocabulary.

If you’re not sure, talk to the CZT teaching the class and find out what their policy is. And let me know if you’d like me to correspond further with you privately by email about this.
      Good luck and happy tangling!
